Good evening
On Wednesday we welcomed Long Melford to the Pleasuredome for our 2nd T20 of season on Wednesday.
Match report below from Skipper -
'We welcomed Long Melford for our second T20 game of the season and they won the toss and put us into bat.
We lost Logan early on for 6 but Skinner was seeing it like a football and raced to 49, with some big sixes but fell as the score was pushing on hard.
KP came to the crease to support Common, who stuck at it although was finding it difficult. Common fell for 22.
KP Batted really well to make 47 and with a few other little knocks from the rest of the team, we made 172.
Melford were contained at first by Logan and Sutcliffe but they then flew away and had an over of 21 off Gordon and 18 off Common and 17 off Chown, which really put us on the back foot.
However, despite a lot of dropped catches, we managed to turn the game around, when Logan dismissed their top scorer.
Gordon came back on and took 4 wickets, with a fantastic catch from Hobson, to seal the victory by 22 runs!
We Showered and celebrated with chilli con carne, French sticks and Doritos!
This win and with bonus points puts us top of the league at the time of this email - with a couple of games still to be played elsewhere!
Well done lads, next T20 is over at Melford away next Wednesday
