Wellsy maintains top spot with his father, Geoff chasing very close behind. KP has 3rd spot but is closely

chased by Kez in 4th.

Luca is holding the wooden spoon spot at moment.

The transfer window details will be sent out later today. Please review and the players will be happy to

know the runs scored will be worth 2 points per run into the 2nd half.

Yesterday we visited Wickham St Paul, looking to gain revenge for our defeat at beginning of the season

Chowny retained the captaincy a the game against Bures was postponed the week before.

He went for the toss, lost again! We were elected to field first.

Jeppo opened the bowling and couldn't get a better start, getting a wicket the first ball with a great catch

from me at gully position. Jeppo bowled 7 overs 2 for 43

Logan was the other opener, Only took him until his 2nd over for his wicket. 7 overs 1 for 30

The Wickham skipper started to get settled and was time for change.

Cal and Wellsy were brought on first change. Cal with a great ball and bowled their skipper

Cal - 1 for 25 off 6 overs

Wellsy also bowled a player out, finishing 1 for 25 off 6 overs.

Chowny made the 2nd change and brought himself and Common on to bowl.

Chowny no having much luck from his 3 overs and finished without a wicket

Common, persisted and got the final high scorer for Wickham out and took another too in his final over

finishing 2 for 23 off 4 overs.

Young Will Stacey, playing to help get his GCSE, bowled one over but to no joy and

Tris finished the innings bowling 1 over but no wicket.

Wickham St Paul setting 205 as the target

Skinner and Logan opened the batting, steady start before Logan departed being caught out for 9

Weavers was the next partner and was a short lived inning being bowled for 6.

I was put up the order into 4th. Full of confidence and was bowled first ball that bent like a banana.

It took longer to pad up then walk, face the ball and walk back - try again next week!

Young Will Stacey was in at 5 and although there for a while supporting Tris, he finished without a run.

Minndo was in to support Tris next. Short lived partnership as Tris departed for 29 runs after being

bowled.

Dan Common 4 runs and Jeppo with 8 runs supported Minndo hitting the ball around the ground

before being caught out for 46 runs.

Chowny was in for a short spell for 5 runs before being caught out.

Wellsy and Cal were then trying to push the run rate up and push for the final overs but Wellsy caught

going for a big shot and finished with 25 runs. Cal, not out with 10 and finished full of confidence.

We finished on 149 all out and lost both games to Wickham this year.

A new captain after tour will be selected following a good stint from Chown.

Next week is the Charity game for R Wade. Please come along for the 20/20 games, drinks and BBQ.

See you all soon and have a good week
