Please see attached the first update from this seasons LCC Fantasy.
Alex Wells (Yido) has kindly helped with the format - thank you.
18 entries in to this years competition - thanks to everyone that is taking part. If not paid as yet, I will
be in touch to make the payment or can pay the club direct and let me know.
Total pot is £180 - 50% of this is to go to the club and the prize splits will be -
1st Place - £60 and a trophy
2nd place - £20
3rd Place - £10
Last place - wooden spoon
Week 1 was cancelled due to both teams having a lack of players.
Our 1st game was last Sunday and we welcomed Wickham St Paul to the Village Green
Minndo was Captain and lost the toss and we were put into bat first.
Tris and Weavers were the opening pair. Weavers started with a cover drive for 4 befor being caught
and bowled. Tris got 21 runs before being caught going for a big hit.
Logan (1), Chown (9), Little (16) Jeppo (9) Superted (2) and Cal (2 N.O)
all contributed but Minndo took the game to them and was out on 46 - unlucky as was runout by
backheel of bowler backing up.
2 Ducks - Wellsy and Martin Weavers meant Leavenheath were defending a target of 120
After a warm welcome back to a lovely tea - provided by Cal - we went to the field with full stomachs
Wellsy and Jeppo opened the bowling. Wellsy came away with no wickets, 1 for Jeppo
Logan and Cal came on - Logan took 3 wickets - 2 in his first over and Cal with 1 wicket.
Unfortunately, Wickham found the gaps and got the total with 11 overs to spare.
It was good to be back playing cricket and this week we welcome Long Melford on Saturday. If you
can come down and support, please do.
