LCC FANTASY - Week 13 update

13 Jul 2021

Good afternoon all.

I would have sent this earlier but has taken until now to be able to look at my PC and the
spreadsheets without feeling sick.

I have attached the weekly update and we have new joint leaders - Cal and Chowny.
The players points table is updated and Bev still leads the pack.

Summary of the tour weekend.

We arrived to Kent, excited as always for the first game and to be away from home.
We had a few jars and lunch at the Swan, and headed to play Great Chart.
Stew Wells took the reigns as Skipper for the day and after an agreement with their Skipper,
we elected to bat against a weakened Great Chart.
We had a few more jars and a shot of something yellow with fizz.
Superted agreed to play against the Mighty LCC.

Stew arranged the order to mix it up and Chown and Jepson opened the batting.
I was down at number 9 and worried what I had done but realised the skipper wanted a
pint and he was number 8, so back to the Swan to help their income.
Number 7 for the day was not impressed but the least we discuss that the better!
Everyone contributed who batted. Logan rolling back the years and scoring his
first ton of the season.
Score card -
Chown - 35
Jepson - 5
Minns - 6
Logan - 105 not out
Common - 19
Gordon - 35 not out
Superted took one scalp bowling for the other team - Minndo.

We set a target of 227 to win
We bowled them out for 72 - which was a very comprehensive win. Wellsy only advising
us around 20 overs in that we need to bowl them all out to win!
Chowny the unlucky one not to take a wicket on the day - although plenty of chances!
Wickets -
Jeppo - 3
Cal - 2
Little - 2 - I even bowled a maiden!
Common - 1
Wellsy - 1
They only had 10 - as did we when fielding as our number 7 was still sulking and
drinking on the sidelines (final dig)

We stayed at the ground and shared a few drinks with the opposition before heading
back to get freshened up for a night on the town.
I remember up to Dan Common's initiation and the rest is in the grey matter.

Saturday unfortunately was called off due to the weather. We ventured to the pub for
the lunch but is wasn't meant to be.
Sunday was called off prior to our trip down following England football team making
the final and almost bringing it home.

Not the usual mid 20s, very sunny tour we are used to.......but we will go again next year.
Hopefully remember a bit more.............especially why I asked for a pen, paper
and calculator in the Kebab shop!

This Saturday we welcome Twinstead (hopefully) to LCC. Fingers crossed they can raise
a team as the weather is supposed to be very good.

Have a good week
