Match report Having won the toss the skip decided to bat first on the artificial wicket. Hoping to set a big total against a Dedham side that you can never shake off we set about taking the attack to them. This is when things went wrong very quickly! Taylor caught in the 5th over for 1, then Logan who has hit big runs against Dedham in the last few seasons was out for a duck. Suddenly we were 10/2 off 5 overs, the wickets continued to fall, Minns out for 17, Little 5, Wells 2 and on it went. Big Dave did stick around for a while making 7 but our performance was nothing like we have been used to, bowled out in the 20th over for just 39 runs.

With such a small target for Dedham to reach we set about trying to pull of the impossible. Badman and debut boy Kitching opened the bowling with a very attacking field. Hazza (Badman) bowled very well taking a well deserved wicket, Kitching up the other end was trying his quick spin and got his first wicket for the club. That was it however, with Dedham hitting the winning runs with 23 overs to spare. A game to forget for us but well played to Dedham who dominated the game and the 15 over beer match we played! Looking forward already to our return fixture in August!
