Good Morning all
Please see the attached updated spreadsheet following our game yesterday.
A few teams had their double point game and we have a new leader - Wellsy.
Yesterday we welcomed Dedham to the Heath and win number 4 of the season.
Chowny Captained us again and lost the toss......again!
They put us in to bat first and it was Tris and Logan firing on all cylinders.
Tris - who normally counts his runs, lost count and was first to go. Caught for 49 on the boundary!
Johnny Armour came in and supported Logan for a while and got 35 runs.
Harry Armour come in and supported Logan before running him out. Logan departed on 126 runs.
First ton for the team this year and a great knock.
Wellsy came in and go a quick fire16 runs before being caught. I came in, faced 1 ball. Going back for
the 2nd run, which wasn't on.
Minndo came in and saw it home with 10no and Harry finished on 30no.
Target was set - 281 off 40 overs.
After teas and marmite sandwiches, we went to field.
Johnny Armour and Jeppo opened the attack - Jeppo with 1 wicket - should have been 2 if I hadn't tried
to catch the ball a day early.
Johnny with his quick bowling took 3 wickets and caused trouble for their batsmen. Logan with one catch
in the slips again
Wells & Cal came in to the attack. Wellsy with 2 wickets and I did hold one catch in the slips!
Cal left empty handed.
Little and Chown in the the attack. And they did attack. Short spell for both of us.
Logan and Tris came in to finish the innings and Tris and his grunt got 1 wicket.
The finished on 203 for 7.
Next week we are on the road to Nacton on Sunday.
